Fuji Gotemba Distillery

Kirin Group was looking for a site that would provide a climate familiar to Scotland’s. The Gotemba city provided just that.

Located at 610 meters above the sea level the main water source for the distillery are the springs of mountain Fuji. The average temperature is 13 degrees Celsius and the low temperature along with the high humidity provides the perfect conditions for whisky maturation.

Traditional and column stills produce a range of single malt and grain whiskies. The distillery has a capacity of approximately 12 million liters per year.
