Ralph Erenzo is the man who followed the idea of whiskey distillation in New York once again and the site was set in the heart of the Hudson Valley in 2003.

His efforts forced the U.S. government to change the craft distilling laws, and many followed Erenzo’s examples with several distilleries being founded since then.

The use of local grains adds to the whiskey’s New York character, while almost 20 years since its founding, the distillery is nowadays able to experiment further with grains and cask finishes.

William Grant & Sons are the current owners.
