The Teeling Distilery
Teeling distillery is located in Dublin, Ireland. Jack and Stephen Teeling founded the distillery in 2015 and it was the first distillery built in Dublin after 125 years.
Jack and Stephen are descendants of Walter Teeling who was the first member of the family to establish a distillery in Dublin back in 1782.
The distillery was bought by William Jameson & Co and closed in 1923 due to the difficulties that all Irish distilleries met at that time.
In 1987, John Teeling bought a facility in Cooley that produced industrial alcohol from potatoes and turned it into a whisky distillery in 1989 with the name Cooley Distillery.
The distillery was sold to Beam Suntory in 2011, and Jack and Stephen who worked in the Cooley distillery with their father moved on with their next project, the Teeling distillery in Dublin.
